Potty training for Infants

There is no precise time for learning. A new born as soon as he/she comes out of his mothers womb he tries to understand the unknown world. And this learning continues until his last breath. When infant among innumerable other learning he/ she must learn how to do potty in the right place meant for it. Though too small it has to be made a habit from the infant but of course potty training for an infant differs from the toddler potty training.

Early potty training depends on the understanding of the mother and child. The mother needs to understand the babies' general timing of 'pee' and also their body language. Though we have given some of the general symptoms that can be seen in the child when it is the time for them. Also there are a large variety of funny potty training seats and even toys. Some of the doll toys when squeezed do 'pee'. This can be a helpful potty training tool for your infant.

Tips on infant potty training
  • The best time for early potty training is when your child is 4-5 months old.
  • The first step is to take his fear out from him. When you have an intuition then that your infant wants to do take him/her to the desired place hold her gently and make a sound of 'pee' or 'ssss' from the mouth. After some days your baby will be adjusted to the sound and your touch. You can choose any comfortable place.
  • If after the beginning of your potty training your child still continues to make the diapers dirty don't be worried. It is quite normal for the child to take about 2 years time before he gets adjusted to it.
  • Don't pressurize the baby or don't be worried you missed some particular timing.
  • You can also make them wear diaper or potty pants while taking them to the potty or if preferred keep them naked.
